In this case the focus of the test was not centered on the unit itself , which was represented only by a mass dummy, but on the interface between the unit and the optical bench. This interface, which is implemented by a &#8222;Common Interface Pedestal&#8220; &#8211; CIP, uses adhesive bonding towards the Zerodur surface, and a bolted joint to mount the PMON unit itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The test setup utilizes a representative Zerodur window which is integrated with the test adapter structure via a flexible joint.
